I will post a few of the photos of birds Richard and I have taken on this trip…just our favourite ones.
Caprivi Strip, Zambezi River
Richard took this photo while we were on an afternoon birding cruise from the lodge. The croc slid into the water shortly after the photo was taken, actually in response to the boat, not the bird winning the stare-off :).
The special African Skimmers
Again on the birding cruise, we were lucky enough to see many of these magnificent birds near/on sandbanks, and gliding low over the river. A special tick for me. Richard’s photo.
Probably a Marsh Warbler?
Any help identifying this bird will be helpful. Not a tiny warbler, and the habitat description fits….email/WhatsApp me if you can help please 🙂
Campsite Birding
This handsome Giant Kingfisher wake us up every morning literally outside our tent.
Nxai Pan, Botswana
We continuously flushed these birds out of the tall grass as we drove by – much cackling and hopping, before descending and disappearing back into the grass.
